Travelbase – The Canoe Trip: Paddling through the silence of Friesland

No roads, no rush — just water, wilderness and a paddle in your hand. For this project, Studio Hikari traveled to the north of the Netherlands to capture The Canoe Trip: a multi-day micro-adventure through the Frisian waterways, organized by Travelbase.

The film follows the rhythm of nature and its participants, from quiet paddles across mirror-like lakes to evenings by the campfire on uninhabited islands. No distractions — just the essence of being outdoors.
